Depends on what it's going on

Depends on what it's replacing

6 cylinder ?

Supercharged or NA?

It will be fine for an stock engine

And the exhaust fumes won't have Captain Planet kicking you in the balls

You won't notice any power gain even if you go catless

It may get a little louder, it may drone, it may sound like arse

Noise is subjective

There's a heap of threads about 6 cylinder mods, what does and doesn't make power, exhaust mods, what are the restrictions, what is a waste of money, and most importantly roughly how much power you get from what

For power claims though don't believe 95% of dyno claims

Believe in MPH and ET

What is your tuning solution?

OEM cat is 400 cell. Lower cell count cats make the exhaust a little bit raspier, but not that much. You won't notice any power gains, on a dyno it may pick up 1 or 2 kW.

Don't quote me, but I believe the body on the Magnaflow "highflow" is larger than OEM, plus with the larger piping it should therefore flow "slightly" better than the OEM

As you said, performance difference will be minimal at best, especially if the only mods are a high flow cat and exhaust.

Body size is pretty much the same, just the inlet and outlet are 2 1/2" instead of factory 2 1/4" so that would justify the term "high flow".
