Hey blokes. Bit of a back story. I just bought a VX manual. The car is mint, however, the previous owner claimed that all the fluids were up to date, turns out the oil was on half. Now the gearbox is making a crunchy whirring noise when going into certain gears when ice cold. It only happens maybe once out of 20 times. Could this be the gearbox fluids or something for serious? Mechanic quoted clutch problems, second opinion anyone? ‍

2 Never trust a mechanic

I would service the car first, and gearbox oil is cheap, and should be your first point of call for a issue that only shows itself when cold
