    Hey,

Im not very car savvy. I have a 2002 VX commodore, have just had the heater tap replaced as it was leaking coolant, was running fine for a week, now i discovered that there has been coolant leaks, it seems to be excessive, i had a look where it was leaking from and it appeared that the hose running sorta under the radiotor has a crack. What is this hose called??

V8? V6? If they run low on coolant other parts deteriorate quicker. Prob just a bottom radiator hose

    It's a v6. The hose seems thin like 1or 1.5cm thick

Mate beat advice is, if your not to familiar with your engine, take to a mechanic ask for a pressure test and this will reveal any leaks the system has.

And you can get it fixed from there, don't go backyard mechanic on your car.

Must be an auto then? Maybe a trans line they run to the radiator to keep the transmission cooler. Shouldn't be leaking coolant from there tho

Ok, everybody stop talking about helping, delta don`t learn anything about your car at all never attempt anything, just take it to a mechanic, in fact shut down jc and replace it with a big brand mechanic site, hey killa 6 wtf?????

Seriously though go buy a repair manual for your car and get reading and save some cash.

+1 for taking it to a mechanic. Take it to whoever replaced the heater tap and tell them about the leak

Are you serious?? The op is asking for advice you tosser.

He is asking if he has a coolant leak on a forum. It's not like we can see the car, so the op's best thing to do would be to take it to the mechanic.

Forum is better off without comments like that from you. Good stuff.
