Hi

Noticed today when I was under the engine bay and when I reved the car a bit the idler pulley seemed to move not so smooth it was a bit jumpy, then most times when the revs dropped back down I could hear a big knock lick a bearing knock or im not really sure but it just one knock when it comes back down from idle. Is the idler pulley suppose to move like that I remember changing the belt not to long ago and there a 3 different belt lengths apparently and it depend son your vin number what type your engine should have. I didn't know which one to get so just went with one and when I put it on had to force the idler pulley pretty hard and the belt only just fitted over the idler pulley did feel pretty weak though. Is it something I should look at replacing car has 225,000klms. Does anyone know what the knock might be also. Also noticed engine torqued up a bit when reved on one side so im guessing my engine mounts also may need doing.

Cheers
