VX Head unit/wipers fault

Hi guys,

My mate drives a 2002 VX. Recently had a new head unit installed. A few months later a fault developed where the head unit and the wipers work in accessories mode but neither work when engine is running.

Could there be a common problem? Any ideas?

Disconnect the headunit and see if the fault persists.

I bloody hope no one ham fisted the wiring by NOT using adaptor harnesses. You might be looking at a 1990’s style mess of soldered wires and crap electrical tape. Worse still, wires twisted together and loose electrical tape.

Check all fuses for continuity. Multimeter on each pin of the fuse. Makes the noise, all good. No noise. Not good.
