Yeah don't use carby cleaner on that. As apposed to getting Electrical Contact cleaner, and people feel free to correct my if I am horribly wrong, but you can use something like WD40, just make sure there is no electricity in your car. I have used it to clean points on a Battery and other electrical points, but again it would be something you have to be very carefull about...

Forget I said anything. Stick with the Electrical Contact Cleaner.

okay sweet as! i know you can get special Maf cleaner stuff but i just thought if you could use the carby cleaner it would save me going back to autobarn

Good! Step one is a very important part of this process. I probably should mention, its good to repeat step one several times after you have finished the job

How many K's has your car done dude? Honestly mine after 180'000's k's was in perfect nick. You only need to replace it if its really depressed, like completely flat. Its a Plenum Chamber Gasket. ACL Code is PC002, thats probably your best bet. Ring around to get the best price, because if Supercheap actually have it in stock, it will be considerly cheeper then Auto Pro. Try Autobarn, but it will probably be more expensive. Also if you have local parts specialists, give them a ring because often they are MUCH cheaper. Dont bother with repco... < My opinion
