The message 'Serv error' apparently means 'a fault in the trip computer
sorry, you have misunderstood
the display diagnostics shows that the dash cannot talk to any of the other computers in the car, not that the trip computer is faulty
most likely a simple fuse or relay fault

I think I may have been a bit hasty in my previous comments. I found the following item after further research. Hope it helps you:

Update.
My mechanic got the car back on the road with immobilizer etc working as normal.
Issue was the BCM .....he had to provide power to it directly from the battery apparently.
Longer term recommendation was to replace the BCM + ECU.

glad you have it sorted
a poor wiring connection or broken wire to bcm accounts for all symptoms
no need to replace bcm/ecu

glad you managed to get it sorted.

ive had a similiar issue in the past, instead of pulling the abs fuse, myself and the auto electrician unplugged the actual abs module by unclipping the red plug. that instantly allowed access to all the computers and allowed a diagnosis. as the abs was throwing too many codes
