VX interior door handle rod rattle

Ok guys so the interior door handle rod in my passenger front door rattles when the door is shut and now it rattles when I go around corners and over bumps. I am going to place some sort of fabric or rubber around to it stop the rattling but I have no clue what the best thing to use is! Do you guys have any suggestions? Cheers!

Use a bit of foam and some cable ties

If this is the part you're talking about (arrowed),
make sure the control rod is located in the 2 retainers and
that the foam pad is in place.
