Hey People

I have a 02 series 2 VX 6cyl
over the last month or so, I have noticed the car feeling like its towing,
I thought this may have been brakes locking on, gripping or rubbing, have removed all the wheels, greased the callipers up, checked the handbrake shoes etc,

Now im thinking maybe its actually the engine, you know doing 100km it sort of idles along, well mine feels like its towing a trailer, have to have your foot on the gas at all times,
GAS <-- yes its using a lot more than usual

I gave it a big service in the weekend, oil, filter, plugs, leads, IGN module / coil packs,
Air filter is new.

Im out of option, any ideas? anyone else had similar experience,
its not bad, def still drivable, just feeling that drag/extra fuel

Shes a petrol, always Caltex 91 or 95,
how do I tell if its running rich etc?

I just got a fuel filter from work, will fit it before I go home.
(would a **** filled filter made it use excess fuel?)
it has run empty not long ago

something wrong in the EFI system
can you get fault codes

Tried the fuel filter and still doing it. It has to be something in the drivetrain as it still feels like that in nutural at 100km

only guessing at the moment

if an auto ... torque converter or other servicable problem
if manual ..... clutch - pressure plate - oil in the flywheel
diffs ...........on these are very forgiving
if not overheating or blown gasket . try a compression test to rule out motor problems
