My mate has been saying his VX S2 has been running very hot, around 100 degrees at times, this morning was running hot and had a smell of burning plastic. Everything looks fine though. Coolant is full etc.

Anybody got a clue what it could be

Is it while cruising or just at standstill, and are the fans coming on?

Is there circulation? When the motor is in overheat mode: Basic test, grab the top and bottom radiator hoses.....do they both feel hot. If top hose is not hot, huge circulation problem If bottom one feels noticeably cooler, then major circulation prob. If both equally hot, circulation possibly okay.
