VX Petrol flap question

The petrol flap on my vx got broken off a few weeks ago.
I went to holden and got a replacement,But it doesnt line up.I got it as close to fitting as possible but it wont lock in.
I have noticed that some vx's have a rubber seal around the flap and some dont.
Are the petrol flaps for series1 and series2 vx different?

They must be seeing as yours wont fit,when it got broken did it get bent in any way for the new one not being able to fit properly?

Same problem but different solution. My VT wagon fuel flap broke and the only one I could find was a VX sedan one. it had the seal around it and screwed straight on. It is maybe 2mm out of alignment but does the job so I don't muck around with it. I know the VZ ones are totally different, even the way the inner hinge mounts. Can't be used on the earlier cars. Clever Holden. EDGE3, if they bend, they break. Very fragile.
