I have found with the pads on my Harrop set up they need to be trimmed and chamfered especially on the rears, once they wear a little they squeal as some of the pad material ends up with a lip on it that sits in a groove on the discs. I have just changed my discs and pads, I left them alone until they are bedded in then I will trim them down so there isn't excess pad material on the wrong part of the discs.
I do also notice a "grinding" feel to the slotted discs and performance pads, there is no noise to this just a feeling of the pad gripping the disc if that makes sense.

That amount of repair is normal. Prices seem a bit steep but depends on if you did yourself or others.

Front left inner wear could be because of camber/

Grinding could be bearings when under load, but lifting car up and doing a check is needed.
