Recently just fitted a brand new full aluminum radiator for my vx series 2 commodore, however, on arrival the box was missing the short coolant pipe that bridges the oil cooler on the left hand passenger side.

Am I able to just use one side of the radiator for the oil cooler? Or until the part arrives connect both together without attaching to the radiator? As the old pipe does not fit with the new aluminum radiator.

Would I be able to drive the car without causing damage?

    Look forward to hearing feedback.

is this the automatic stuff you are talking about ......cant see the piping
the whole system pumps oil at high pressure so all hoses have to be fitted

never fitted the aluminium radiator so dont have a clue which pipe is missing

just refit the old radiator back in ...till you get the pipe you need

back soon just having a look under the bonnet

Yes, its the automatic pipes. Basically the old pipes threads doesn't screw on the complete way with the new radiator, which causes movement in the pipe.
