    VX Executive Series 2
    Hey people!

I drive a 2002 series 2 vx executive, and had it service at ultra tune in jan for the 160,000km manufacture handbook service and since the service probably only done about 3000km but i notice when the petrol tank gets low, the car feels like it starts to miss, or does not want to go when you put your foot on accelator.

I drive my car on the freeway quite reguarly these days too and from work, granted they are probably short trips, but when i have plenty of petrol in the tank, i do seem to have any problems, but once it goes beep beep and i run it lower... it doesnt seem to want to move. I have been filling up at 600-650kms and fill it up with 65 litres after ive been to the servo.

Does the car have some sort of function to stop it performing when the fuel tank gets low... and you kinder just ignore the fuel lights and distance to empty.

The car feels fine with full tank, even half a tank, it just doesnt feel good when there hardly any fuel.

Could if be that my automatic also needs a service? cause im not sure if it has ever been done? cause even on a full tank, u put ur foot down and it takes awhile to go.. like it revs and then goes..

    any suggestions?

Could be crap through the fuel tank or lines or a kink that is overcommin the head of pressure as there is less fuel in the tank, you could have a bit of contamination in the bottom of your tank that is heavier than fuel and mixing when the tank has a more even mix of it and the fuel at low levels. Or the lazy ****s at ultra tune coulda omitted the fuel filter change from ya service although i highly doubt that the filter would produce these symptoms. Try emptyin the tank and cleanin it out, be warned that this is a much more complicated and time consuming job than it looks. Could be a pump sensor 2 sayin the tank is full and it dont need to pump as hard. And as for ya tranny check ya fluid
