Been trying to decide what car to buy for ages I think Iv finally set my mind on a VX SS wondering what sort of easy mods you can do to get that bit more power out of it and maybe some of the dearer 1’s to Thanks!!!

sounds better too!
and the Monaro cold air intake 2 hole airbox mod
with a Yella Terra big bore air intake

when you say "a split VZ ezhaust" do you mean like twins?

Just get a MAFLESS tune - $600
extractors and exhaust system - $1000
OTR CAI - $400

The above will see you get around 230-240 rwkw.

Yeah... sure... lol... decent headers are about 700+ so that leaves 300 for a cats (or not) and exhaust system. lol... cute.

Yes... I'm sure for 1000 you could scratch something up... but... you get what you paid for.

A full pacemaker exhaust is about 2000 depending how much you shop around...

And you may also what to change the order your suggesting...

Exhaust or CAI doesn't matter the order... Tune AFTER you that.

Also... don't need to go mafless... alot of tuners get good power with MAF's... just a ported MAF might be an investment...

And once yout making some power... get some gears to give you some more up'n'go from that power...

Ok so, it’s easy to tell every 1 what they said is wrong, well what’s your opinion? I want to do a few things to it to make it quicker than average (average being my bros vy ss) but still want it to be reasonable on fuel and reliable for trips because after all it’s meant to be a family car...

mate, get an OTR intake and full exhaust and a TUNE.

Will give you more power and better fuel economy

Is it still going to be reliable with the otr or will it require constant tuning and become a pain in the ass.? I don’t like my car at the mechanic

So the car will run beta as in smoother without the air sensor thing once you get a mafless tune?
or beta as in quicker? But not smoother?

the otr makes the car better mate. As others have said get exhaust tune and OTR. for the ehhaust id recomened di fillipo or pace maker headers. Go for 4 into 1's 1 3/4" in size. Then get a twin 2.5" exhaust. Again di fillipo is good, there exhausts never drone and flow well but any other brand would be decent.

Also the otr is not legal neither is a tune or just about any other thing you do to the car.
