vx ss auto no 2nd gear

When mine died I lost 3rd and 4th. Was interesting driving a 2 speed..lol

What did you do to get yours fixed then?? How much cost and what was replaced?

I got mine rebuilt at Lake Macquarie Auto Transmissions at Toronto. Mine cost me $3200 but I got a shift kit and billet servo ( 4th, already had 2nd )fitted at the same time. He told me if i broke it, was time to look at a T400 or 4L80E conversion.

Fellas, i would be looking at the Solinoids. Full set of replacement soleniods fromn the states is only $110 AU delivered....Shift Kit, with new valve body is $250......Parts are cheap, you just have to know how to rebuild em.....on

Sounds like you might need to have the 1 -> 2 shift solenoid replaced.

depends how hot the tyres get 3rd is good too if i went 3.9's 3rd would be easier

lol first is my favourite... 55km and plant it, kicks down to 1st and lights them up at 60k's lol.

Sorry to dig this up but mine is doing this too.. I have another gearbox for it will it fix the issue just putting a new box in?
