hi all some may say this is a stupid topic, but i am havenig trouble i think with my traction control working to good

i turn the traction butten off, i take off turning right up hill abit and nothing not even a lil skretch? not even the low traction flash?
sorry i have only had the car a few weeks, maybe i haven't tryed hard enough or the tyres are to good?
but in a v8 u shouldn't have to try to hard

well if you've turned traction off........the low traction light wont flash
and yes maybe your tyres are good or your not trying hard enough

everything else aside, if you turn your traction control off you should have a trac light on your dash all the time. It is designed that way so you know it is off. Safety, according to GMH. My brother has a VY SS ute, 5.7L has no trouble getting the tyres to chirp but that's all it does, trac control takes over immediately when he breaks traction.

i dont bother with T/C, i turn it off as soon as i get in the car, especially in the wet because because the T/C kicks in even on normal take off and bunny hops and **** its annoying

i should add that the car is fast all they way threw the revs, i don't see any signs of the clutch slipping ( the revs don't jump up and down when driving hard)

maybe your clutch is slipping then...
put your car into 5th and see how quickly the revs go up while driving with your foot down...
if your tacho goes up way quicker than your speedo, your clutch is going

nope all checked out, i took the car on a quiet dirt road, i left traction on i put my foot dwn in 2nd the low tract light flashed and made the acc pedel go up a bit ( thats the first time i have seen that light so it is working) Then turn trac off and thecar stepped out, and now it has no problems doen it on the road! then tonight after work i took it to my mechanic and he drove it he said it was fine,
problem solved i just don't think it has ever done a burnout i got it off an old lady maybe it just needed to loosen up a lil
