VX SS won’t start-sitting few years

Well,it’s been a bloody long time since I lurked around here,priorities change,life changes & you end up driving a Great Wall of poo Ute that just won’t die.
Anyhoo...got a VX SS ls1 that’s been sitting here far to long. Was running when parked it up for various reasons & now the bugger refuses to start. Checked relays/fuses & they seem ok. No noise I can hear from fuel pump & key head battery dead.
First thought is fuel pump gone kaput-can they just crap out from doing nothing?
Second thought is key head battery dead & maybe immobiliser has kicked in-i had a craptiva that had this issue,new key head battery & fixed.
Any other suggestions or similar problems anyone had & fixed?

Is there fuel in there?

Turning the key to if ignition you should hear the fuel pump prime for a few seconds. If you don't, chances are it's kaput.

Padlock symbol stay on in dash? doors lock/unlock of key fob?

Battery fully charged? Battery terminals cleaned & tightened properly no acid junketc?

Check voltage drop between terminals & battery might just need new terminals.

Does it crank over fast or not at all?

Fresh fuel?

Car now unlocks from key,alarm goes off now etc.
Battery full charge-13.4 volts.
Terminals clean & tight.
Cranks over as it should.

It’s looking like fuel pump but I just didn’t think it would crap itself from just sitting doing nothing lol

Do a fuel filter too while your at it mate

could try some injector cleaner in tank might have jelled up lines

pull a spark plug and see if you have spark when cranking
after cranking depress the schraeder valve on fuel rail, wear safety glasses and see if you have fuel pressure

did you clean the tank out and fresh fuel check fuel filter
