VX steering wheel radio controls

is it possible to just remove these? i have no use for them. if so how do i go about it? and will the steering wheel still sit flush?

behind the steering wheel is a couple phillips head screws holding the airbag on - take these off - then right behind that ull see what holds the steering wheel controls on unplug and remove then put airbag on. - as long as u dont unplug the airbag ull be fine

perhaps disconnect the battery if your going to play with airbags, i know theres not much of a chance of it going off but the consequences would be extreme lol
