The car is a VX v6 manual, its got 270'000 ks on it, we've owned it from new and its always been serviced and well looked after.
When coasting in 4th or 5th and its given the slightest amount of throttle it begins jerking, feels like fuel starvation or spark breaking down??
Problem only started about a 1000 ks ago, so far I've replaced the fuel filter, plugs, leads & coils.
It starts easy and runs as it should under hard acceleration without missing or hesitation.
Any thoughts or suggestion very much appreciated!

....Could it be the fuel pump?....Or the DFI?

TPS fault can do that. The contact surface gets worn out at part throttle position because that is the range you use the most. Usually throws a code 21 or 22 from memory though. Have you checked for codes?

Agreed, TPS is well worth a look. It may not be faulty enough to generate a code but a multimeter makes pretty light work of testing it for voltage fluctuations

I've now replaced the TPS, does it need calibrating?

Interesting, the car is now running worse after replacing the TPS, I thought it might have something to do with calibration.

Does it do it in neutral?
