Wondering if anyone might have come up against this auto transmission issue.

I take off from the lights and the transmission doesn't want to change up into second so we have to back off a tad and go again and it chances up straight away.

The transmission seems to be doing this about 50 percent of the time and other than this issue everything else is good.

Highway cruising is perfect and so is driving around town, it just seems to be when we power off from the lights.

X2 i was thinking TPS. Is it revving out in first? Because that is a classic sign of faulty TPS.

You can test the TPS with a multimeter.

If it's not shifting up then the revs must be going up. I have replaced my TPS twice. First time it started by not shifting up, unless you back off and then go again. It would labor and rev out to 3k or more before changing. Let it go long enough and you will lose all shifts and will need to nurse it home or to a workshop while manual shifting.

The tps is located on the front of the throttle body.
Well sort of its on the left of the TB the front is the inlet side, do you have a multimeter if so your tps should start almost at 0 and work its way up to 5v fully opened. See if its not bouncing as it climbs to 5v.
