Hey guys, have just bought VX Exec Wagon. What do u's reckon would be the best option to put some speakers (maybe Sub) in the very back. Thought maybe a false parcel shelf at the back seat. Any other ideas, not really sure of what else i could do. Thanks in advance.

ahh yes. Maz's Car. The many ways on how NOT to do a wagon...LOL

Aftermarket headunits can be made to fit Yes. there are some dash packs you can pick up that will allow them to fit in.

G'day I put a small up grade in my VY wagon, I used a plasic trim piece that allowed me to fit an after market head unit which was a pioneer deh-p9540 which is an awsome unit, I replaced the front and rear doors speakers (pioneer again) with splits in the front, these speakers are currently running of the head unit but I am purchasing a 4 channel amp in the not to distant future, which will power these 4 speakers (I am mounting this amp under the passanger seat). In the luggage compartment (or boot for sedan readers) I have 1 10 inch sub 350 watt (800 peak) powered buy a small 150 watt amp (which will also be upgraded soon) both pioneer units also, I have mounted the amp to the sub box which is quite small, I had it re-covered in vinyl so when the dogs slobber on it it can be wiped off easily, and a grill to stop them putting a paw through it!. The other thing I did was leave about 1.5m of cable loose in the back, which I tidied up using some black split cover tubing (dont know what to call it but I am sure you have all seen it) that way i can move the box around when I need to i.e. if i need the cargo barrier forward. The box has two metal hooks on it which hook on to the cargo barrier to stop it sliding around. and incase anyone is wondering, I chose the 10inch sub because I listen to a lot of metal music so I was after quick response base not dooof, dooof. I think the system sounds awsome.

    Enjoy
