Just bought vxr commie

It came with aftermarket wheels on there the previous owner said he bought it with them one

It’s running 275s on the back and 245s on the front. I didn’t think that was ok with AWD??

Can I just swap the back tyres out for 245s or would the fact the rims are an inch bigger back there mean I should swap the rims as well

Cheers guys

I think it's the rolling diameter that's important. While I don't see the point of having different width tyres on a car like the VXR (it has very good road holding with the standard set up) you might find the rolling diameter is the same front and back. You dont mention the aspect ratio. If you go to 245's you will most likely need to change rim size to get the same rolling diameter, (that's ignoring the fact that the rims will by too wide anyway).

With an AWD, it is adviseable to have the same size front and rear....

May have to change rims at the back, depending if a 245 will fit on the rears

Don't put 245's on the wider rear rims unless you want it to look

Tell us your current tyre sizes, front v back. And hope that the previous owner did not do too many Kms on wildly differing diameters..
