HI guys I'm having 2 dramas with my stereo, firstly I have a bleed in my LCD screen, anyone know if it can be fixed or does it need to be replaced? Secondly while I'm driving with the volume up nice and loud the music will just cut out after sometime and I have to restart the car to get my music back, is there a setting I need to change or something?? Does anyone know how much the unit cost and where I could get one other than back at Holden?

Are you really cranking it when it cuts out? I'm pretty sure it has an automatic cut-out to protect the speakers. You can disable this, but your speakers won't like you too much...

If you are interested I have a single cd stock vy player, that I plan to put on ebay at some stage, It has some minor scratches around the ejection holes, but is still fully functional. PM me if you are interested.

Its only on about half and then it dies in the arse, I've tried the settings but it doesnt change anything. I just got an email back from Blaupunkt and they reckon its a loose wire, pay good money for things and **** like this happens.............

wreckers that speciliase in more modern cars that d*ckheads write off.
but they wont be cheap either prob: $600 if holden says $675

Thanks guys for your help but Holden have decided to replace my cd player under the extended factory warranty I bought but the dumb thing is that the factory warranty doesnt start until the statutory warranty expires after three months from purchase date. What a pain in the arse, oh well at least I wont have to pay the $1150 they quoted me for a brand new unit...........

Japozzi , Good to hear your problem has finally been sorted out.

The price i quoted you was through a Holden dealer as well......

It just goes to show the veriance in prices between dealerships.....:ranting:
