VY s l67 and VY calais l67
Does anyone know if there is a diffrence in a calais engine bay compared to a vy s?
My vy s l67 has next to no room between the blower elbow and fire wall. And on my vy calais l67 there is about triple the room.
is this a known difference from factory?
Can't find any info searching.

No not yet. I have just got the calais, will be going on the hoist this week.
Thought I would check if it was a simple model variance or what not being a calais, before I look if something has moved or worn etc

They are identical. Holden did not manufacture different bodies other than sedan, ute, wagon, LWB.
All will share the same engine bay panels and bay space.

You might have a buggered engine mount(s) on one.

check your k frame also you wouldnt thinkso but its not uncommon to have a bent k frame on the vy looking at the amount of threads on the topic i had to replace mie becuase of tear seemingly done by stress rather then accident

I was going to say check the K Frame also,
But thinking about it,
could it of had a nudge at the front, and pushed the Engine & Trans backwards ?
As mentioned earlier, check your engine mounts and transmission mount,
Replace if necessary.
