hey iv got my old vy calais which im going to sell, and a vz ss . the vz has round dials, i want to swap the buttons and screen from the calais to the vz which has dials , does anyone know if this was a clean swap or if they would have different wiring behind there? i would open them up and have a look but im not good with car interiors and d like to avoid breaking plastic clips if i can

the VY and VZ dash wont swap as complete units (grey plug vs blue plug)

Not sure about pulling the bits off and swapping them, Ive never tried it

he's talking about swapping the climate control from the calais to the SS which just has the dials for fan speed, temp and air position.

It has been covered many times if you do a search and most people never end up doing it because you have to change heater boxes and im guessing the whole wiring harness as climate control has a few sensors (one being outside) basically its not a simple as swapping the dial switches with the digital switches.

oh sorry yeh I mis understood the question (btw some VZ SS have climate control)

yeh, the gist of it is Im yet to see anyone actually do it, it involves all sorts of things from replacing wiring to ecu's, sensors etc.
