Your local holden dealer should be able to help you there.

    Which VY?

There is a different CD for the VY and VY S2, and their various derivatives.

I have a VY Series 1 that covers VY, WK and V2 Series 2. Holden Part Number is 92146909.

I bought it for $100 off Ebay, but have not seen them since.

They hold much more info that a Gregories.

    Fekason,

Are these Cd's able to be copied??

Is the CD you own a copy?

If so, would you prepared to send me a copy in exchange for cash?

The gregory's manual just don't have enough information for what Im doing.

    Regards

    Matt

    Copy Protected.

    Hi,

My CD is copy protected, needing a code from the supplier to complete the install.

I may be able to copy individual pages, and e-mail them to you though. That is if it's not too many.

If you explain in more detail what you want, I am willing to give it a try.

I may also be willing to sell it if I can get hold of a VYII CD for a similar price, as that is what I have.

    Cheers.

airbags are fairly simple the dash is a bit involved, the steering wheel airbag needs a special tool but the passanger one just requires the dash to be removed.
Yes ive taken one out and put it back in

    Jeffro,

What dose this special tool look like and do?? Is it something that can be made?

Did you have to replace steering wheel, seat belts, seat runners etc??

    Fekason,

I would need the chapter on the dash airbag removal and instalation.

How many pages is the actual manual?

If you printed the entire manual I could scan it back in at work thus creating a file you can send/sell etc.

    Regards

    Matthew

You dont need to rplace anything at all,i would go to holden and ask them to rmove the steering wheel cover bag for you should only take them a minute, there are four locking clips on the back of the airbag to wheel the airbag went off so i was able to cut at it to remove it.

If the airbags have gone of you will needt to rplace the bags the airbag module the clockspring and the seatbelt pre tensioners.

ouch yup you will need the lot! once you have the airbag off the wheel the rest is simple.
I cut all the airbag out of the one i did just look at the new bag and you see how it works then you will know what to do to remove it.

always disconnect the normally yellow tubed wires and fuse on air bags, playing with these have snapped necks and killed people.

    Hi there Hgprem01

I just want to ask a slightly unrelated Question.

The ute has gone from an absolute mess to quite good. My question is, how involved was the process of getting the front end back to scratch and the cost faesibility. I.E. Was this exercise an expensive one. I have heard of people recovering and repairing stat write offs before and am curious as to whether it is a worthwile way to get personal with a project and still have a good pocket $$$balance

    Cheers

    Steve,

This car was a repairable write off, rather than a stat write off, be very carefull and check the car against the register before purchase. A stat write off can never be re-registered I understand in victoria.

Yes it was worth in the long run, but not counting labour time.

I brought all genuine parts from my local holden dealer which made it more expensive than say buying another wreak to fix it.

The next one will not have airbags deployed. Its a very big job inside to change all the dash etc. I would also recommend either being freinds with a panel beater who can access VACC or similar for veichle dimensions when welding up the front.

Also, if hit in the front, inspect the K frame. It is designed to deform, I didn't know this at the time.

If you have any other questions don't hesitate to ask.

    Regards

    Matt
