Should I disconnect the battery to change
oxy sensors? Also, will they unscrew out
of the exhaust easier if it's hot or if
it's cold? Thanks.

Circuits won't be active if the ignition is off but it'd be good to disconnect the battery so everything resets and starts from fresh when you restart. Then your computer won't remember how you were use 50L/100km before and cans tart fresh using about 5L/100.........:)

I would think hot is a terrible idea, only because you're bound to touch the exhaust at some point and hot exhausts burn. Probably equally hard to undo hot or cold.

Do it cold. Best to disconnect the battery, and perform an ECU reset when you're done just to be sure.

OK, thanks guys. Good idea about the ECU
resetting itself, I hadn't thought of
that.

Can you reset the ECU on the unit itself, without disconnecting the battery?

No. It's reset by disconnecting battery. Some people say to hold a certain amount of revs for a certain amount of time after reconnecting, I've found this useless. I reconnect and go thrash it.

The way I was told and reset my ECU is to turn the ignition to the "on" position; leave it on for 1 minute; turn it of and leave for a further minute and then start the car.
