My vy clubsport just hit 130,000km, so i was going to change the oil and filter, i was thinking of doing an engine oil flush using Liqui Moly engine detox, A few guys from work said its bad for my engine, but im not convinced anyone else use engine flushes without any problems?

I tend to agree with your workmates.
Unless you get every bit of the flushed oil and "debri" out of the sump there is a chance that something could float back into the oil pickup and clog it.
Some of these flushing oils will remove varnish and debris that in a lot of cases would stay locked away in a corner of the block and never cause any problems.
I have never done it and never had any problems with my cars which have and had oil changes every 5000klms.
My VL turbo did 330,000klm with out any major internal work even the head never came off which was a common complaint when they lost coolant.

    Hey mate

If you really wonna do a flush what i do is just put new oil and filter on run it for a few days and then just dump it and fill up again with fresh oil, though i wouldnt bother aye mate, if you change the oil every 5000 ks, you should be all good.......

Exactly correct. Flush it with fresh engine oil. Pretty simple really. Then its a matter of frequent oil and filter changes to keep it clean and maintain optimum lubrication.
