Vy dfi module problems

Hi guys

Just wondering what could be causing the dfi module on my vy Commodore to pack itself every year.

I have owned the car around 3 years and every year around Christmas on an unusually hot day the dfi module will pack itself, so far I've bought one aftermarket, one genuine, and this time around I'm going for 2nd hand because it's starting to get expensive.

I know it's the dfi module because it drops a coil pack and runs on 4, and it's not the coils either because I have swapped them around and each one works just fine.

Anybody know what could be the issue??

Don’t use old coils on a new dfi module - you’ll kill it.

I can't fully remember but I think when I bought my first dfi module from Burson's I bought new coils with it as well, they have the Delphi label on them so I would have thought they were replaced
