I just replaced the rubbers in the standard link pins on my VY's front sway bar and was just posting to check I had tightened them up the correct amount.
I replaced the rubbers with the weight of the vehicle on the wheels (up on ramps) and tightened the top nuts until the rubers and washers just turn with a fair bit of force, they don't look to be squashed.
If I then take the link pin out of the sway bar the rubbers become loose on the top of the strut.
The steering is OK and has recently been alligned however it doesn't seem to self centre like other cars.

I Did this just the Other Day, I Tightened the nut all the way up till there was no more thread, yet they did not really squish at all, i lowered the car back down, squished a little more, seems all good, the car no longer jingles with the loose metal plates lol
