VY headunit cd problem

Recently bought a VY and the cd player doesn't work. It won't accept discs, I try to push them in but the player doesn't pull them in. When I try to eject it says there isn't a disc in there.

I have tried disconnecting the battery for 5 minutes which seems to work for most other similar problems but it did nothing for mine. I haven't tried disconnecting the head unit yet because it looks like a pain to get out, but if I can't get it to work another way I will. Anyone know what the solution is?

Not sure with the Executive but with the Berlina you have to press the load button before loading/inserting the CD

yeah theres no load button with the executive.
