    Has anyone got an online copy of the VY commodore workshop manual I could please get a copy of? I need it in particular to installing a genuine cruise control unit. I read from a previous message someone had access to one on the forum. Thanks for your help, JT.

    What part(s) exactly do you need? Wiring diagrams are in a total different section to the actual cruise section.

    Both would be great, I looked and couldn't see a wiring loom (that's not to say it's not there). I would also like the section on cruise control. Is there a complete version of the manual available? Also I need to purchase a complete cruise control kit including wiring but would like it to be genuine as I believe it looks tidier. The current price I have received is $460 for a complete kit, would you know anywhere else who would have a better price? Thanks.

    I found this while giving info to another guy about installing cruise control, he wanted to know a rough price.

    VY V6 CRUISE CONTROL FULL BRAND NEW KIT...! - eBay, Other Car Parts, Accessories, Car Parts, Accessories, Cars, Bikes, Boats. (end time 25-Dec-08 21:56:00 AEDST)

    Definatly not $460 there :p

    You'll have to give me a bit of time to get the parts of the manual for you. I'm a busy man atm. Everyday this week i've been working and i dont get a break until christmas day and then the day after boxing day! I'll get pics of trhe wiring loom and electrical diagrams up as soon as i can.

    I have a genuine VY Workshop Manual on CD.

    I'll have a look tonight, and extract whatever I can for you.

    I could fax it to you, or scan and e-mail.

    let me know the best way to get it for you.

    With regards to wiring looms, it is common for the loom for options to be fitted, but tapped up back at themain loom. When I fitted cruise control to my VS II manual in 1997, the loom was there (probably with the ABS loom as some VS did not have it), so I expect it would be there on VY still.

    Cruise Control

    Hi,

    The cruise control section of the workshop manual is 36 pages.

    I am printing them off now. Big job to scan and e-mail, and a big e-mail too.

    Need to come up with a method of getting them to you. Please advise.

    Fekason, when i'm sending the manual i usually just create a PDF with the required pages and security lock that. Maybe you should look into that? It makes emailing something like 36 pages much easier and smaller!

    Hi,

    Have scanned the 36 pages. File is about 1.5MB, in pdf format. I think that is probably too big to attach, but I'll try.

    Have a look at the detail. If you intend to do much work on your car, the genuine manual is worth the cost IMHO.

    Holden Dealer Spare Parts

    Hi,

    The best place to start would be the spare parts section of a Holden dealer.

    If the price is too high, watch Ebay and one may eventually come up.

    I have noticed that sometimes my VY Berlina cruise control on more than one occasion kicks in even when I have not activated it.

    if anyone needs any information i have the actual sotware that holden use when you take your car to their shop. Holden Service Information Package its called. it covers vt-vz and astra rodeo etc.

    ill upload the pdf you are after if you want, cheers.

    edit: you cant buy this manual, even mechanics have to pay about 500$ a year licencing to use the siftware, and cant copy or screenshot anything.
