hi hoping someone has a suggestion, my 2004 vy series 2 has an intermittent issue where the whole instrument cluster goes out. I have no computer no gauges and most of the lights don’t work only the indicators high beam and a couple of the warning lights seem to be unaffected. When it goes out it has no effect on cruise control or performance or anything.

There seems to be no pattern to when it works and when it doesn’t however it’s usually when I first turn the key but it does also happen when I’m just driving along too. It will usually come back on anywhere from a few minutes to anywhere up to an hour of continuous driving later or sometimes when I get back into the car after going into shops or something but not always.

Undo the screws for the facia above the cluster. remove the facia. Undo the screws holding the cluster in and see if the cluster is seated correctly and the plugs are seated correctly.
