My mate had a Maloo ute and naturally we dropped it abit front and back...

    The interesting thing was...

He had airbag IN the springs that we could pump up at a servo for and raise it abit for those instances where he needed to use the ute as a ute...

Also handy if you get canaried...

I've looked around for this setup and came up empty...

Anyone know more? Where to get? how much?

    Thanks

Hmm, silly question but have you asked your mate? Sounds like a custom job.

Seems kinda pointless to have both springs and airbags. Like if you want to sit in the weeds you can and if you need it for towing you can pump them up.

I wouldnt say i have the greatest knowledge though when it comes to airbags. My only experience with the is in my cousins bagged hilux.

I havent seen the actually set up..
But from what has been described...

If you raised the car on airbags. that sat inside the spring, the spring wouldnt remain seated properly? therefore when you lower it again, there is no guarantee the spring will be seated correctly.. which = bad!

Yeah... but cause the airbag was IN the spring the spring expanded with the bag...

Its like... you put a spring in and it will settle like 2 inches from not being compressed...

The bag in the keeps the spring from settling that low...

I dunno... im not 100%... all i know is the bag was in the spring and the car raised about an inch odd and looked like the spring was still trapped...

lol thats good. Bags are painful. My cousin has had so many issues with his. Its fully engineered but it was a painful process. He's had compressor problems, solinoid problems, when he sent it to get engineered they made him put in all new air lines. Took him 6 weeks to get back.

    My VE SV6 has them.

The holden dealer told me it is part of the 2300kg tow pack. The air valve for them is in the pair wheel well.

I brought the car brand new.
