VY S2 Clubsport R8
Hey Guy's,

As title suggests my VY S2 Clubsport's battery in the key is dead and the car is dead locked. The car's battery isn't dead however I cannot get into the car.
Have tried turning the key right hard even while lifting the handle and it's a no go as the key started to bend. Have also tried turning it hard left and no go on that either.

I have called HSV and they've basically said to get a mobile locksmith to come out as they can cut a key but not program it and I'll need to get into the car to program it.
Anyone have any suggestions or am I screwed?

If you dont mind damaging the door seal you can wedge the door ajar a bit with big screw driver then push a bit of wire with a hook on it through at top corner try and hook the lock

Could also try earthing your key and hooking it up with a wire too a 12volt supply might not be holding charge but if you give it a feed and press button while hooked up it might work heres how to open bonnet from outside

You do realize that the car is dead bolted and as such you can not use the interior locks to unlock the car not even if you are inside the car.

i would go with Trevor loves holdens' idea because even if you wreck the key shell you may be able to wedge the battery in there to get enough power to unlock the car.

You can buy new shells from auto stores but cheaper on ebay. Or just glue your old one up they do come apart with some effort.

If the car is dead locked then you need the key fob to unlock it, you can do the dukes of hazard thru the window if you like. The snip wont open on any door if its dead locked.

Even if you smash a window you still can not unlock any of the door locks this was a security feature which made cars harder to just smash a window and unlock the car and steal it the only way to unlock the car is with a working key fob there is nothing wrong with the doorlocks. i know all about the deadbolt feature as i use it all the time in my car every time i park it at a shopping centre

You just have to crank the key to the right i think it is and lift the handle. It takes a lot of force but will open.
