Hi I have a VY sedan with a problem with the boot release. The clasp in the boot became loose and the only way I could open it was the emergency quick release behind the back seat. I then tightened the clasp and made sure it was centred and square, closed the boot and still had the same problem. This time when I went to open using the emergency quick release it came off in my hands. Now I have a boot that I cant open and cant even get into through the back seat as my VY is fitted with factory LPG. I cant even see where the yellow emergency release is attached to the boot release cable.
    Any ideas?

It attaches at the release link.

Did it just pull the yellow bit off the cable, Or did the whole cable come off?

    Ohh.
Well, You should be able to fish it out if it's just the yellow bit broken off.
Get a pair of pointy nose plyer's, A torch, It should be right on the edge, About 2-3cm in.

Thanks, ended up removing right hand back seat and that exposed the coupling and can open it that way.
