Has anybody installed the sports binnacle with the extra two guages after buying the car?
I own a VY Clubby and i am interested in fitting the extra two guages.
Do you know if all wireing looms in the dash have the required connections?
    Is it easy to install?

I ended up going to my local holden dealer and found that they sell a kit with all the necessary parts to do the job. They supply wiring loom, guages and a handy set of instructions to guide your way through the installation process. There is a small wiring patch you need to install to be able to hook uo the new loom. You will also need to bolt on a VDO pressure sender on th engine. (just above the oil filter). The whole thing cost me about $650, a little pricey but well worth it, it totally changes the look of your dash.

    Good Luck........

If you try JHP www.jhp.com.au they have the genuine HSV kit to suit all VYs, even with coloured dials

I installed some in my VY, used two autometer gauges, oil pressure, and trans temp cost half the price of the HSV one and IMO looks better

is it possible to find out how to remove the plastic bit off the dash without damaging either it or the dash?

A little OT but I'm thinking of installing an SS "bin" in that area for remotes / cards etc but Ive been told theres bits and pieces under the plastic to watch out for, and that the bin wont suit, so I want to have a look before I waste money on the bin itself but dont want to damage either dash or plastic in case it cant be done!

I prized mine off with a small flat blade screw driver and it didnt make a mark.

I just got a quote back from JHP at $900. That's well over the genuine Holden at $650. So personally I'm going with the genuine.
