want to know if i have 60,000kms on mine i want to get a 3 window dash if i buy one and take it to holden to put it in can they make the kms match what it had, does it take much work to do.
It might be different for my car (05 VZ SV6) but i upgraded to a HSV Clubsport 3 window dash from my standard dash. I bought through JHP for $600 loaded with appropriate software. It didn't matter ho many km's were on it it knew as soon as i plugged it in. No involvement with holden. Hope this helps.
Tech2 Up to 100 Km! Hi, If the cluster is new, then Holden can set the odometer using Tech2. Once to odometer reading passes 100 km, this is no longer possible. However, I understand that some instrument specialists can reset odometer readings even after the 100 km is passed. Thus, it is best to either buy one new or one with a comparable odometer reading. Also be careful. VY and VYII clusters are plug compatiable, but are not interchangeable. If you put the wrong one in, the fuel guage will work backwards, and the DTE (distance to empty) will be useless. This can be fixed by chaging the fuel sender unit, but the cost is definitely an issue. Thus, get the right one in the first place. Cheers.
