Hi everyone, I am chasing a picture of the SS UTE logo on the floor mats of a VY SS UTE so I can get a replica set made up for my own ute. I used to work at a couple of Holden dealer back in the VT - VZ era & yes, I realise that not a lot of the utes were fitted with the genuine Holden SS UTE floor mats, as dealers neglected to keep both types in stock & simply threw sedan style SS mats into new cars they sold. If anyone has a VY (or even a VZ) SS UTE, can you check the logo for me to see if it has the word UTE after the SS & post up a picture for me please . . . . or email it to me at (NO NEED NOW) when possible please?? Thank you in advance to anyone who can help at all.
As far as I know, there is no difference between ute floor pan and sedan metal. It’s the same. If you mean the lack of a fuel door lever, mats that cover that recess drive me crazy because they gather schmutz and it’s annoying to pull back the corner to vacuum it out. Edit: Oh. And I re read the post properly. All you need might be somewhere that does embroidery to do the patch and a trimmer to sew it into the mat.
All good Fu Manchu, as you should be able to see from my attached images, photos of genuine SS UTE mats have been found. They are a different shape to sedan & wagon mats due to no fuel door lever & I want them for my VY SS UTE. Being a former Holden parts salesman, I knew they existed but had lost the photos temporarily & thought someone on here may have had a set & been able to send a happy snap.
