Hi I bought a vy ss with 710vcm cam,cam chain, pushrods, valve springs, pacemaker extractors, xforce exhaust it’s got a blown exhaust manifold gasket and 2 broke manifold bolts besides it being loud it’s got a slight backfire every so often ....could that be it’s drawing in air and not burning the fuel in that cylinder ????

Yes, an air leak in the exhaust is a common cause of backfiring. It may also cause the MIL to illuminate.
