Vy utility
Basically what is happening is that when I turn the ignition the starter is making a squeeking noise for a second or 2. I know it is the starter motor itself being well past its used by date.

What I want to find out is, is this defective motor placing more stress on the battery during start up causing my batteries not to last as long.

also any diagrams on starter locations for a Vy utility?

If the components within the starter motor assembly are worn, it will put more pressure on the battery, as it will require more amperage from the battery to turn the solenoid and activate the armature within the starter motor itself.

The starter - I assume its a V6? - I am pretty sure is located on the passenger side of the engine block...
