Hey just wondering if anyone can help me? when driving my vy seris 2 stationwagon every so often i get this loud clunk (as if iv hit a stick on the road and its wacked the wheel arch) in the front passenger wheel area? Also same area when I first take off in the car I get a little clunk from the same area. This is not as loud and only happens when first taking off. when the car is warm it's usually fine and every so often the loud clunk occurs. Little bit worried has anyone got any ideas? Much appreciated!

Check that the swaybar links are solid as the rubber donut bushes tend to collapse and allow the link to clunk around.

    Front end noises

Chers Ricey, checked and the bushings were shot! Replaced them and haven't had heavy clunking since!
Still have the rubbing/friction when for example, driving out of driveway or where ever the car is left cold. Will make a rubbing noise when first turning the steering wheel?? Then fine when warmed up? Any ideas? Chers

    Possibly strut top bearings/bushes.
