VY Commodore
Hi all

New to the forum, im not sure if this has been covered previously on here or not, but i have a small problem and hoping someone can help.

im wiring up an aftermarket head unit in my VY. the connector on the new unit is an iso but the wiring arrangement is different to the standard one. im sure i could find a way around that (possibley cut and solder them in correct places) my question is which wires do i use on the standard harness for the steering wheel controls. on the new harness i have 3 wires for steering controls

Key1 -5V (brown)
Key2 -5V (Pink)
GND (black)

Also which wires on the standard harness do i connect to the Ant wire on the new harness.

i have attached pics of both wiring diagrams if that helps.

thanks to all in advance

Is this wiring diagram relevant to the blaupunkt 6 stacker system in the VY series 2? What I am trying to do is install an aftermarket head unit I have that has self learn for the steering wheel remote I have the 3 wires coming from the steering remote plug on the head unit labelled ground, input 1 and input 2. I'm not sure of the colours but I know only the ground and input 1 are connected in the vehicle I'm taking the unit out of. Basically I want to know what wires I should tie into on the existing wiring harness.

That plug was off the rear door but the speakers are the same.

Replacement brand will help, usually you buy the plug and play harness for that brand, I know JVC has a plug and play head unit that comes with steering control harness. Steering wheel remote wont work without a suitable module.
