VY thumping under load when hot update

So the drama continues.. So quick update.. fine cold for the first few minutes.. At idle the tacho does move a little.. Once it warms up say 3 ks, it thumps and struggles to rev.. So far replaced O2 sensors, plugs and leads tried different coils all 3 and another DFI.. Tried another MAF and TPS and IAC valve.. There doesn't appear to be any vacuum leaks.. The inlet gaskets have just been done as the oil was entering the coolant.. It runs just the same after the new gaskets BUT no more oil in the coolant.. So now I have bit the bullet and ordered a new CAS and getting that fitted next Wednesday.. I noticed last nite it was rather cool coming home it was 22 degrees and the thumping and struggling was a lot less.. So it's heat related.. It's never chucked the CEL once.. Even when it thumps away at its worst.. It can't be the only Ecotec doing this ?

Have you checked the trouble codes? Not all codes throw the CEL.

By thumping, im guessing you mean bad missfires? It must be ignition. Fuel problems usually arent as harsh with misses as ignition related, but that doesnt mean its not fuel. Hows your fuel filter? Injectors dirty? Fuel regulator ok? It could be a lean miss, knock sensors picking up knock and retarding the timing. That can feel pretty savage sometimes.

It's had a gut full of manifold cleaner and injector cleaner and the fuel filter was replaced about two weeks ago.. Today it's ran the best it has since I bought it three months ago..it runs lean and retards the timing when it thumps away.. The CAS turned up today..

Well at the end of the day it was one of the new plug leads the spring wasn't in all the way Grr
