VY ute engine and getrag box into vs series 3 auto ute

I had a 2003 manual VY s pac ute with a rebuilt engine that's been written off and I have now got my hands on a 2000 VS ute. I was wondering if I would be able to throw the engine into the VS and use the gearbox to do a manual conversion and get the rest of the stuff, pedal box, tail shaft etc off another manual vs ute to do the conversion and if it would all fit fine thanks.

As its the same Engine/Gearbox you should be good on that front.
Would be likely to just be needing to chase the other ancillaries and some stuff like the exhaust you might want to make to suit (y piece for example is different for a Manual compared to Auto VS)
May also need to block off some emissions equip on the VY engine as they werent on the VS.

Probably a few things to consider about the Getrag vs the T5 you may find parts for in the VS is that its Hydraulic and not cable, so be cautious when looking for the parts.

Also other things which i am sure others will chime in about.
