Vy Ute manual vibration shudder

Have a major vibration and shudder issue with my vy Ute seems to settle at higher speeds over 80kms worst on take off in 1st or 2nd gear can feel it thru the wheel and seems to be coming from engine bay

does the same in neutral and with belt off mechanic looked at it and was stumped has had engine replaced before I bought it any info would be highly appreciated

Replaced engine mounts
Coil pack
Leads and plugs
Belt
Harmonic balancer seems fine

If it's had the engine swapped there's probably no spigot bush in the new one. Or there's possibly something wrong with the dual mass flywheel if you still have that.

Okay yeah I think the engine was swapped by so one that didn't really know what their doing

Do you think I should take it in to a gearbox specialist how much would I be looking at to get it looked at

Ask them their opinion maybe, but to check either of those components it's a gearbox out job.

Okay my mechanic said it can't be gearbox issue as it still does it in neutral what are your thoughts

They're behind the gearbox bellhousing, same as the clutch, just because you have to take the gearbox out to get to them doesn't mean there's anything wrong with the box. The flywheel and clutch spin in neutral and the spigot bush should be engaging the input shaft of the gearbox, if it's not this can also be noisy/vibrate when in neutral.

I would be looking in the same area. I had a clutch fail in my VY ute and it vibrated in a similar manner. Changing gears was problematic.

It's okay to change gears it just vibrates shudders on take off 1st and 2nd seems to be stalling in 1st gear and tough slightly off idle

So I had engine light come on once then didn't come on again I replaced CAS as I was stalling at low revs at low speed and still have shudder any thoughts
