On holidays at the moment - drove from Sydney to Brisbane in the VY and collected the following data, for those who might like to know.

Initial Fill: Woodcroft BP - ODO:157995
First Fill: Port Macquarie BP - ODO:158380 - 41.94L - $59.61
Final Fill: Coomera BP - ODO:158870 - 50.81L - $72.61

Car: 2004 VY SV8 5.7 Litre V8 Automatic - Unmodified
Load: Driver + 1 Passenger + Approx 70kg Luggage
Tyres: 235/40/R18 Maxxis MAV-1
Fuel: BP Ultimate
Weather: Calm, dry and approx 27 deg C
Route: Pacific Highway
Driving Style: Approximately 1 Hour in Sydney heavy traffic, 7 hours at 110kmh and 1 Hour 80kph roadworks. Occasional full throttle overtaking.
Trip Computer Fuel Consumption: 11.0L/100km
Calculated Fuel Consumption: 10.6L/100km

Notes:
* Calculated fuel consumption is based on both starting an ending on a full tank, dividing litres used by kilometres travelled and multiplying by 100.
* Fuel used has been BP Ultimate for last 5 tanks and was used at every fill.
* Wheels on car are aftermarket and may have a different rolling mass to standard.

That's pretty good for an untuned auto.

I'd be stoked if after exhaust + OTR + mafless the fuel consumption actually improved :) I'll probably do the drive again after those things and see.

Most likely they would, cause there the main reasons that restrict a cars power.

Recently my VZ Senator LS2auto mafless tuned (oztrack) on a return trip Sydney to Kempsey and back with 5 adults up and 4 adults back plus luggage netted 11.2L/100klm on the trip computer.
The computer was reset to zero when I filled up in Paddington, Sydney the night before we went and I filled up twice with the second/last fill at the same Paddo servo.
I was pretty happy with that considering the load .

Well done, thats pretty good. I know once we went on a trip in my old man's mates VY SS and got from Adelaide to Geelong on one tank...

I just drove from Adelaide right through to Melbourne on Tuesday and still had 1/8th of a tank left!! Which I thought was pretty good... although mine is the ecotec so a bit different obviously.
