Hey I have just had a power steering cooler put on my ls1 vy, once the cooler was installed the car was started and air was sucked into the lines from the reservoir. ever since then the car has had an intermittent whine from the power steering pump.
When this happens the reservoir fluid is very air rated. we have tried Jacking the car up and turning the wheels but with no success and if i'm driving along way the fluid is very air rated & the pump makes allot of noise but the next day I turn it on silent until hot & the steering feels really good all the time?
Any idea what could be causing this?
I was told to look for any air leaks in the system to see if its sucking air into the lines?
