VY VZ Reinforcement Bar

I thought the VY and VZ front reinforcement bars are the same? Got a VY, with the VZ SS front bar, however it doesn't seem to fit nicely ?? It did with my old VY tho any ideas please. Had to do a shell swap the photo with the Gray bar is my old one and the blue car is my new car, same bar.
